Craig & Victoria ~ Thistle Hotel, Haydock.

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

When I first met Craig and Victoria, I just knew their wedding would be something different! Whilst 7 bridesmaids may sound a little unusual their choice of colour scheme was something I had never seen before. They chose a yellow, orange and lime green theme. A brave but perfect choice for their glorious Summer wedding and  In keeping with the theme ~ the sun shone brightly all day! A beautiful intimate service in St. Joseph’s was followed by celebrations in the marquee at the Thistle in Haydock,  www.thistle .com which looked amazing, elegantly decorated with fresh oranges, lemons and limes. Craig and Victoria, hope you have a great honeymoon – we have a surprise waiting for you. Px.craig_vicky

Sam & Melissa ~ Victoria & Albert Hotel.

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Wow! What a memorable birthday for Sam as not only did the couple decide to bring their wedding forward by a year but they also thought that Sam’s birthday would be the perfect date for their wedding. What an amazing couple, their warmth and love is so infectious its easy to understand why their popularity lead to a church filled with guests and so many spectators who came to congratulate the couple.  Melissa looked amazing as she stepped out in the dress of her dreams from ” Fairytale Brides” www.fairytalebridesltd.co.uk and the couple celebrated in style at the “Victoria & Albert Hotel” in Manchester. www.marriott.co.uk. norton_blog

Gareth & Tracey @ Bolton Parish Church

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

On Saturday we photographed the wedding of Gareth and Tracey. What a wedding with a couple who are so full of fun! A emotional service at Bolton Parish Church www.boltonparishchurch.co.uk was followed by a wedding breakfast at the De Vere Whites Hotel, at Bolton Reebok Stadium. www.deverevenues.co.uk Breaking away from the traditional slow smooch, – they have to be nominated for the best first dance ever as they entertained their guests with a fantastic rendition of the famous “thriller”. (Something that only Bob and myself knew about.)
Thankfully the rain didn’t spoil the day as nobody got wet. The interior of the church provided a beautiful backdrop for photographs. The lighting in the church provides a beautiful atmosphere for the service however, it is not ideal for family photographs. As we are “always prepared” for all weathers – Our Elinchrom portable lighting system is a crucial part of our kit.
Good weather is something that no photographer can guarantee , however, the expertise of a professional photographer has a major influence on the atmosphere and the quality of the photographs.             G & T blog
